Training - Coaching

We work on capacity building with Diaspora (Migrant) organizations and their local partners by offering training and coaching to help professionalize their organization and support the projects.

Our trainings are mostly mixed with Diaspora, Dutch or Belgium organizations.

We focus on these themes and subjects:

  • Gouvernance (your organization here and there)

  • Communication (Interal and External)

  • Visibility (make yourself visible online and offline)

  • Fundraising (events, crowdfunding, partnerships)

  • Project management and project setup

  • Managing expectations (you and your local NGO)

  • Intercultural Communication (Dutch, Belgian NGO´s and local partners)

  • Presenting yourself and pitching your project

Storytelling

Pimp My Village has 5 Ambassadors that share their stories with us and we publish these on Linkedin and our website every month. In their short stories we get a look into their lives and the projects they do.

Next to this we look for Visibility projects where we can tell the stories of the Diaspora and their local organizations. We look at exhibitions and platforms that want to publish these stories.

We find it important to tell the stories of the diaspora and their local organizations. We hope to inspire other Diaspora and Migrants to put up projects in their countries of origin and support this important way of development cooperation coming from Europe.

Knowledge exchange and networking events

We like to support knowledge exchange between diaspora organizations and mostly try to engage with Diaspora living in the Netherlands, Belgium and England. In this way knowledge can be shared and ideas can be developed.

At the events we aim to have inspiring speakers, interesting workshops and create networking possibilities.

We also organize events where the aim is to mix the Diaspora organizations with Dutch, Belgian and English organizations or social businesses and bring them together to look at ways to be as effective as possible within Development and Cooperation and International Development.
