Last weekend was Wilde Ganzen Dag 2024 and I was allowed to chair the day. It was a very good and educational day about how we can jointly tackle important issues in the field of International Co-operation or Global Citizenship.
Keynote speaker Laura Bas gave a very good presentation about Intergenerational Collaboration. So different generations together and how we can all provide interesting insights and solutions. There were also important panel members such as social worker in Indonesia, Lia Marsandi and Caro Krijger, Foreign Affairs, head of civil society. They have given us more insight into the action points that we can take. Abubakarr Bangura gave us a nice insight from the Diaspora organizations.
An important point that I took away from this day is to create a small team around you of people who also have the same goals as you. Then meet regularly to take concrete steps and discuss a number of points regarding the SDGs or other international issues and look for solutions. Make the team diverse: young, older, experienced, inexperienced, local or from here. I am motivated. Together we are stronger!
