We follow up on Sandy Grishaver-Kalisingh, MSc. owner of SK Robotics and founder of the Kalymero Foundation; The Robot Academy. a nonprofit for robot technology education with projects in India and the Netherlands.
A few months ago, we did a story on Sandy and her projects in India. She was working on creating online lessons about robotics and recording them in a studio with a green screen. How is Sandy doing now?
Sandy: “We are still recording the online lessons about robotics that we want to offer to the schools in India and all over the world. It´s going well but we are doing many other projects so it takes a bit longer to finish”
Sandy: “Next to this we are preparing for the RoboCup 2024 that will be held in Eindhoven. They will be playing the World Robot Football Championships.
Kalymero will contribute by giving workshops. We are going to do that in a very accessible way by explaining what a robot is and ask them to think of a robot and it´s functions. Then we will be making a simple prototype.
Next to the work of the foundation Sandy is doing a lot of projects and the promotion of her book: the new edition of The Technical Principles of Endoscopic Surgery, that she did in collaborative effort with some other editors and authors.
